About the Role
Scruples Resources, a leading provider of consultancy services, resource development, and human resource solutions in Nigeria, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Fabrication Supervisor. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all fabrication activities to ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and in strict accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and project schedules. You will lead fabrication personnel, monitor productivity, and resolve technical issues to deliver exceptional results across the Nigerian industrial sector.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise day-to-day fabrication activities and coordinate assigned personnel including welders, fitters, and helpers.
- Plan and organize work according to approved engineering drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Coordinate cutting, fitting, welding, assembly, and grinding processes while ensuring strict adherence to approved procedures.
- Work closely with QA/QC personnel to ensure all inspection, testing, dimensions, and tolerance requirements are successfully met.
- Identify and correct fabrication defects, discrepancies, and non-conformance issues promptly.
- Monitor the utilization of tools, equipment, and material availability, reporting shortages that may impact timelines.
- Enforce strict Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards, ensuring all workers utilize appropriate PPE and maintain safe working conditions.
- Maintain accurate daily records of work progress, manpower, and activities while supporting punch-list clearance and project completion.
- HND, Bachelor's degree, or technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Fabrication Technology, Welding Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant technical, welding, or fabrication supervision certifications will be a strong added advantage.
- Proven professional experience in fabrication processes, equipment, tools, and industrial safety practices.
- Exceptional ability to interpret complex engineering and fabrication drawings accurately.
- Strong understanding of quality control requirements and technical documentation in a manufacturing or construction environment.
