About the Role
Scruples Resources is a leading provider of consultancy services, resource development, skill acquisition, and human resource solutions across all sectors of the Nigerian economy. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Fabrication Supervisor to join our growing operations. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating day-to-day fabrication activities to ensure all work is executed safely, efficiently, and in strict accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and project schedules. You will lead a dedicated team of fabrication personnel, resolve technical challenges, and uphold the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise daily fabrication operations, allocating tasks to fitters, welders, fabricators, and support personnel.
- Plan and organize work activities in alignment with engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project timelines.
- Coordinate essential processes including cutting, fitting, welding, assembly, and surface preparation.
- Collaborate closely with QA/QC teams to monitor dimensions, alignment, tolerances, and overall workmanship.
- Identify fabrication defects, manage rework, and resolve technical or material-related bottlenecks promptly.
- Enforce strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies, ensuring correct PPE usage and conducting toolbox meetings.
- Maintain comprehensive daily records of project progress, manpower utilization, and material usage.
- HND or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fabrication Technology, Welding Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant technical certifications in welding, fabrication, or industrial supervision will be a distinct advantage.
- Demonstrated expertise in interpreting complex engineering and fabrication drawings.
- Thorough understanding of industrial welding, cutting, fitting, and quality control procedures.
