About the Role
Teestone Hotels & Apartments is a modern boutique hotel located in the peaceful neighborhood of Ikeja, Lagos, offering contemporary hospitality just minutes away from the Murtala Muhammed International Airport. We are currently seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and experienced Hotel Laundry Personnel to join our dedicated housekeeping and hospitality team. In this role, you will play a vital part in upholding our exceptional standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction by ensuring all linens, towels, uniforms, and guest garments are meticulously processed and ready for use.
Key Responsibilities- Collect, sort, wash, dry, iron, and fold all hotel linens, towels, staff uniforms, and guest laundry items efficiently.
- Operate and perform routine maintenance on commercial laundry equipment, including heavy-duty washing machines, dryers, and ironing presses.
- Inspect all processed items thoroughly for stains, damage, or wear, and report any issues promptly to the housekeeping supervisor.
- Apply correct washing methods, stain removal techniques, and appropriate detergents based on various fabric types and care labels.
- Handle all guest laundry with utmost care, absolute discretion, and strict confidentiality.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and well-organized laundry workspace in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor stock levels of detergents, softeners, and other laundry supplies, reporting shortages proactively.
- Distribute freshly laundered linens, towels, and uniforms to the appropriate hotel departments on schedule.
- Respond promptly, courteously, and professionally to special laundry requests from guests and internal departments.
- Minimum of a Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent educational qualification.
- At least 1 to 2 years of proven working experience in a laundry, housekeeping, or hotel hospitality environment.
- Demonstrated ability to operate professional laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational abilities, and effective time-management skills.
- Physical stamina required to stand for extended periods, bend frequently, and lift moderate to heavy laundry loads.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic hotel team.
