About the Role
The Nigerian Navy is seeking a dedicated and qualified Environmental Health Technician to support our mission of ensuring a secure and prosperous maritime environment. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of environmental sanitation, disease prevention, and public health safety across naval bases and operational installations.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular environmental sanitation inspections across naval barracks, offices, and surrounding communities.
- Implement vector and pest control measures to prevent the spread of communicable diseases.
- Monitor water quality, waste disposal systems, and food safety standards within naval facilities.
- Educate naval personnel and residents on best practices for personal hygiene and environmental conservation.
- Maintain accurate records of health inspections, hazard assessments, and remedial actions taken.
- Collaborate with medical and engineering teams to address public health emergencies and environmental hazards.
- Minimum qualification of OND Lower Credit or a recognized professional qualification in Environmental Health or related fields.
- Must possess SSCE or equivalent with five (5) credits, including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Health Science.
