About the Role
FABOTAS College of Health Sciences and Technology (FCHST), located in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, is a premier private health institution dedicated to training middle-level health professionals to strengthen Nigeria's primary healthcare delivery. We are currently seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated Environmental Health Lecturer to join our esteemed academic faculty. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality education, conducting practical training, and mentoring students pursuing careers in public and environmental health.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, practical sessions, and tutorials in Environmental Health to students in line with the approved curriculum.
- Design, update, and implement course materials, syllabi, and assessment methods that meet regulatory and academic standards.
- Supervise student research projects, field trips, and industrial attachments related to environmental health practices.
- Assess and evaluate student performance through examinations, quizzes, and practical evaluations, providing constructive feedback.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and institutional accreditation processes.
- Mentor students and provide academic counseling to support their professional and personal growth.
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Environmental Health or a closely related discipline from a recognized university.
- Must possess a valid Environmental Health Officer (EHO) certificate and a current practicing licence.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of cognate teaching or professional experience in a tertiary or health training institution.
- Demonstrated proficiency in ICT and modern e-learning educational tools.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with a strong passion for teaching.
