About the Role
LighTech Automation Electrical Services Limited is seeking a dedicated and proactive Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Officer to join our dynamic manufacturing operations. In this role, you will play a crucial part in implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving EHS systems within our homecare products manufacturing facility. You will ensure full compliance with legal requirements, company standards, and industry best practices while championing a safe environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and monitor EHS policies, procedures, and programs in line with regulatory and company requirements.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to manufacturing and chemical handling.
- Conduct risk assessments, Job Safety Analyses (JSA), and hazard identification for plant operations.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
- Monitor environmental aspects including effluent, emissions, waste management, and chemical storage.
- Organize safety training, toolbox talks, emergency drills, and EHS awareness programs for employees and contractors.
- Maintain EHS documentation, permits, registers, and regulatory reports.
- Support internal and external audits, including ISO 14001, ISO 45001, GMP, and applicable FMCG standards.
- Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement across the factory.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
Professional Certifications:
- NEBOSH IGC or NEBOSH General Certificate.
- ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Lead or Internal Auditor certification.
- HSE Level 3 or equivalent certification.
- Membership of recognized safety bodies such as IOSH or ISPON is an advantage.
Experience & Skills:
- 2 to 5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment, preferably within homecare, personal care, or chemical processing.
- Strong knowledge of workplace safety, environmental regulations, and GMP requirements.
- Excellent communication, training, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and EHS reporting tools.
