About the Role
The Oasis Schools, a leading educational institution in Ekpoma, Edo State, is looking for a passionate and qualified English Teacher to join our dynamic academic team. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and comprehensive English language and literature lessons to junior and senior secondary students.
- Develop detailed lesson plans aligned with the Nigerian secondary school curriculum.
- Assess, monitor, and record students' progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
- Create a stimulating, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment that encourages active participation.
- Prepare students effectively for internal and external examinations, including WAEC and NECO.
- Participate in school co-curricular activities, staff meetings, and professional development programs.
- Possession of a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), B.A. (Ed) in English, or a Bachelor's degree in English Language/Literature with a PGDE.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven teaching experience in a reputable secondary school.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Deep understanding of secondary school English curricula and modern pedagogical approaches.
- Strong classroom management skills with a demonstrated ability to nurture and mentor teenagers.
- Reside in or be willing to relocate to Ekpoma, Edo State.
