About the Role
Goldenville School was founded in January 2008 with a vision to be a citadel of learning and moral excellence, raising a new generation of leaders who will impact the world positively. Our mission is raising Godly children with integrity, independence, excellence, and skills for lifelong learning in a prepared environment using a broad, balanced curriculum. We are currently looking for a dedicated English Language & Literature Teacher to inspire our students and foster a deep appreciation for literature and effective communication.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
- Integrate modern educational technology into classroom instruction to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and individualized support to ensure holistic development.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and creativity.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school events, professional development, and parent-teacher meetings.
- Instill core values of integrity, independence, and excellence in line with the school's mission.
- Possess a B.Ed or a relevant degree with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE).
- Minimum of 2 years of proven teaching experience in English Language and Literature.
- Must have successfully completed the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program.
- Tech-savvy with the ability to seamlessly integrate technology into teaching methodologies.
- Relevant professional teaching certifications will be an added advantage.
- Passionate about education and deeply committed to learners' holistic development.
- Applicants must reside within the Amuwo Odofin axis and its close environs in Lagos State.
