About the Role
Spin 95.3 FM, a vibrant commercial radio station operating out of Umuahia, Abia State, is looking for a dedicated and skilled Broadcast Engineer to join our dynamic technical team. Key Responsibilities- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot FM transmitter systems, studio equipment, audio consoles, and automation software.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on all broadcast infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted 24/7 on-air transmission.
- Set up and manage live outside broadcast (OB) events, remote feeds, and studio-to-transmitter links (STL).
- Collaborate closely with on-air personalities and production teams to resolve technical issues promptly during live broadcasts.
- Maintain comprehensive logs of technical operations, equipment repairs, and maintenance schedules.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Nigerian broadcasting standards and regulations regarding transmission power and frequency allocation.
- Minimum of an Ordinary National Diploma (OND), Higher National Diploma (HND), or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven hands-on experience working in a commercial radio broadcast station or similar media environment.
- Deep understanding of RF transmission, audio signal routing, digital audio workstations (DAWs), and IT networking.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and readiness to work flexible hours, including weekends and shifts.
- Residency in or willingness to relocate to Umuahia, Abia State.
