We are currently seeking a dedicated Risk and Loss Prevention Engineer / Specialist II to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in safeguarding our operations by evaluating engineering designs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving safety excellence across high-value projects.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and review discipline engineering work performed by internal teams, contractors, and subcontractors to guarantee adherence to project specifications and global regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate the effective execution of safety engineering and design routines that align seamlessly with project objectives and corporate standards.
- Participate in or lead comprehensive risk studies and conduct advanced consequence analyses, including toxic gas dispersion modeling.
- Develop, update, and institutionalize safety standards, instructions, and codes into formal company documented practices.
- Ensure accurate, proactive, and timely communication among project teams and stakeholders regarding discipline activities, progress, and emerging issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering within a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) practices within the energy sector.
- Extensive hands-on experience in Loss Prevention engineering.
- Broad, in-depth knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills with the ability to manage tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and complete fluency in written and spoken English.
