About the Role
Amaiden Energy Nigeria Limited is a premier provider of technical staffing and outsourcing services to the Nigerian oil and gas sector. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Rig Supervisor III to join our dynamic team in Lagos. In this critical on-site role, you will represent the company to ensure all drilling and well-servicing activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in strict compliance with industry standards and operational guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Represent the company on-site to support the safe and efficient execution of comprehensive well plans and rig operations.
- Serve as the primary contact for rig and third-party personnel, ensuring seamless logistics for personnel, equipment, and services.
- Communicate and uphold rigorous Safety, Security, Health, and Environment (SSHE) expectations, managing incidents and leading regular safety drills.
- Monitor rig operations closely, providing constructive feedback to contractors to maintain well-controlled procedures and proper emergency management.
- Ensure approved drilling and completion procedures are rigorously followed, utilizing management of change processes when necessary.
- Order and organize logistical support for specialized services and equipment required for efficient operations.
- Support critical on-site surveillance areas including kick detection, abnormal pressure, mud properties, and solids control efficiency.
- Generate accurate daily operations reports and maintain active interfaces with engineering and geology teams.
- Bachelor degree or HND in Petroleum, Mechanical, Electrical, or a relevant engineering discipline.
- 8 to 12 years of extensive experience in drilling, rig operations, workover, or well-servicing, with proven supervisory capability.
- Valid industry-standard well-control certification appropriate for the operating environment.
- Current offshore survival, medical fitness, and other mandatory site-specific safety certifications.
- Demonstrated expertise in drilling programs, operational reporting, risk assessment, and HSE management systems.
