About the Role
Eastern Plains Integrated Farms Limited (EPIFL) is a leading integrated agribusiness enterprise located in Igbariam, Anambra State, Nigeria. We are currently seeking a skilled and proactive Engineering Officer to join our dynamic team and drive the operational efficiency of our large-scale poultry production and processing facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on all mechanical and electrical systems and farm machinery.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and swiftly repair mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical faults.
- Maintain electrical panels, wiring, motors, high-capacity generators, and automated control systems.
- Service and repair mechanical assets including water pumps, conveyor belts, ventilation systems, and refrigeration units.
- Assist with the installation, commissioning, and upgrading of new plant engineering equipment.
- Respond promptly to operational breakdowns and emergency maintenance requirements on-site.
- Ensure strict adherence to national and internal engineering, electrical, and workplace safety standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inventory of spare parts, and submit periodic operational reports.
- OND or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of hands-on engineering maintenance experience within agribusiness, poultry, manufacturing, or food processing environments.
- Relevant technical certifications, trade tests, or specialized training in industrial maintenance or power distribution will be a distinct advantage.
- Demonstrated practical expertise in handling high-voltage systems, generators, and automated feeding or ventilation networks.
