About the Role
Moniepoint Inc. is a leading financial technology company digitising Africa’s real economy by building a comprehensive financial ecosystem for businesses. As our Engineering Manager for Site Reliability, you will lead our SRE tooling team, ensuring the successful delivery and execution of critical technical projects. You will orchestrate collaboration between product managers, engineers, QA, and UX teams to translate complex requirements into actionable technical milestones while maintaining high engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities- Own end-to-end technical planning, execution, and delivery within the Site Reliability Engineering tooling team.
- Evaluate product requirements, translate them into EPICs and technical stories, and groom tasks alongside Product Managers and Engineers.
- Organize sprints, track team velocity, allocate resources effectively, and manage cross-functional dependencies.
- Maintain a hands-on approach by participating in code reviews, enforcing design patterns, and ensuring robust monitoring, observability, and SLIs/SLOs.
- Lead blameless root cause analyses (RCA), troubleshoot complex technical issues, and drive continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
- BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 8 years of software development experience.
- At least 5 years of experience working with Node.js or Python, alongside solid backend technology expertise.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven engineering leadership experience managing and mentoring high-performing teams.
- Strong command of agile methodologies, sprint planning, backlog management, and project tracking tools.
