About the Role
Reliable Steel & Plastic Ind. Ltd. has been a trusted name in quality manufacturing since 1998, offering complete in-house production solutions. We are currently seeking a technically competent and experienced Soybean Oil Refinery Plant Operator / Technician to take primary responsibility for operating, monitoring, and maintaining our soybean oil refinery plant at our Elele facility. The successful candidate will oversee the refining process, adjust machine parameters, troubleshoot operational faults, and ensure efficient plant performance while adhering to top safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Independently operate and manage the soybean oil refinery plant and associated equipment to ensure consistent product quality and efficient production.
- Set, monitor, and adjust operating parameters including temperature, pressure, flow rate, and processing time across various refining stages.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve operational faults, process abnormalities, and equipment malfunctions promptly.
- Carry out routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs on pumps, motors, valves, filters, and pipelines.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, oil yield, equipment faults, downtime, and maintenance work.
- Ensure compliance with established quality standards, operational procedures, and workplace safety requirements.
- Provide occasional technical support for minor repairs, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting of other farm machines and equipment.
- Degree, HND, or relevant technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in soybean oil refining, vegetable oil processing, or a similar industrial environment.
- Practical knowledge of machine parameter settings, process monitoring, and basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work on-site in Elele, Rivers State and take full ownership of daily plant operations.
