About the Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic and visionary Energy Sector Lead to spearhead our strategic initiatives, investment opportunities, and talent management within the oil and gas, power, and renewable energy sectors in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the firm's energy investment strategy across oil and gas, power, renewable energy, low-carbon technologies, and related infrastructure.
- Originate and source high-quality investment opportunities through an extensive network of energy-sector executives, developers, operators, and regulators.
- Manage investment transactions end-to-end, covering opportunity assessment, financial modelling, valuation, due diligence, structuring, and execution.
- Develop and evaluate investment theses, assess risks and returns, and present compelling recommendations to senior management and the Investment Committee.
- Oversee portfolio investments, collaborating with portfolio companies to drive strategic growth, operational improvement, and capital allocation.
- Lead, mentor, and develop investment professionals while contributing actively to the firm's fundraising and investor relations activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; an MBA, CFA, or advanced qualification is a distinct advantage.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in private equity, investment banking, investment management, or management consulting within the energy sector.
- Demonstrated track record of originating, structuring, and executing complex investment transactions across energy, infrastructure, or renewable energy markets.
- Advanced expertise in financial modelling, valuation, due diligence, and transaction structuring, including project finance.
- Exceptional leadership, commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and negotiation skills with a robust industry network in Nigeria and beyond.
