About the Role
Pacific International Drilling is seeking a skilled and dedicated Electronic Technician to join our growing team in Nigeria. Operating some of the world's most technologically advanced ultra-deepwater drillships, we pride ourselves on safety, operational integrity, and excellence. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining our high-specification fleet, ensuring optimal performance of critical electronic systems while upholding our rigorous Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and complex troubleshooting of industrial electronic equipment and control systems.
- Utilize specialized test equipment effectively to diagnose and resolve electrical and electronic faults.
- Actively participate in the company HSE Management System and support continuous improvement processes.
- Maintain a strong personal and operational safety record across all assigned offshore duties.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company-specific safety practices at all times.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional industrial electronics experience.
- Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE / WAEC / GCE O Level) required; OND, HND, or B.Sc. in a relevant discipline is strongly preferred.
- Formal electronics training and a proven safety record from previous industrial operations.
- Demonstrated proficiency in operating electronic test equipment for maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Must be a Nigerian resident currently living in Nigeria with fluent oral and written English communication skills.
