About the Role

Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc, a leader in the Nigerian manufacturing sector and home to the iconic Golden Penny brand, is looking for a dedicated and experienced Electrician to join our dynamic team in Lagos. In this vital role, you will ensure that all electrical and automation equipment is meticulously maintained to achieve its maximum operational lifespan, effectively eliminating downtime and supporting our continuous production goals.

As our new Electrician, your daily duties and responsibilities will include the following:

• Conducting routine checks of all electrical and automation control panels according to the established schedule.
• Carrying out comprehensive preventive maintenance checks and promptly completing all required checklists.
• Cleaning and maintaining all electrical panels, instruments, and associated plant equipment.
• Monitoring and verifying electrical parameters such as current for equipment under both loaded and unloaded conditions.
• Inspecting and testing electrical heating panels across all production units.
• Responding rapidly and effectively to all electrical and automation faults within the plant.
• Accurately documenting shift activities by filling out the electrical and automation logbook.
• Reporting all unresolved electrical and automation concerns directly to the Plant Electrical and Automation Supervisor.
• Performing installations and maintenance of electrical systems and machinery to prevent power failures and operational disruptions.

To be considered for this exciting opportunity at Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Possess a minimum of 5 credits in WAEC/NABTEB or Trade Test 1 certification.
• Holding an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 2 years of cognate working experience, preferably within a fast-paced manufacturing, production, or FMCG environment.
• Demonstrated ability to be highly organized and manage materials efficiently.
• Strong sense of responsibility, accountability, and reliability.
• Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively across shifts and departments.
