We are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Electrical Technician to join our dynamic technical team in Nigeria, focusing on high-voltage and low-voltage electrical distribution infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out scheduled Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) on HV and LV distribution boards, panels, transformers, and switchgear according to manufacturer guidelines and statutory standards.
- Inspect, test, and maintain earthing and bonding systems to guarantee workplace safety and compliance.
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on LV electrical circuits, lighting, and small power systems, while supporting HV fault investigations under senior engineering supervision.
- Maintain and test emergency lighting systems and battery back-up units for continuous compliance.
- Support switching and changeover operations involving standby generators, ATS/AMF panels, solar hybrid systems, and UPS infrastructure.
- Conduct thermal imaging surveys and connection-tightening procedures during routine PPM tasks.
- Log all maintenance activities, test certificates, and defect reports accurately using the company CMMS/CAFM platform.
- Respond promptly to electrical emergency call-outs and adhere strictly to safe isolation, LOTO, and permit-to-work protocols at all times.
- OND, HND, or Trade Test Certificate in Electrical / Electrical and Electronics Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in commercial or industrial electrical maintenance involving HV and LV distribution systems.
- Demonstrable working knowledge of transformers, distribution boards, earthing, and emergency lighting installations.
- HV authorisation or certification is a strong advantage, though exceptionally qualified LV candidates will be considered.
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM) software.
- Strong problem-solving, diagnostic, and fault-finding abilities with a rigid safety-first mindset.
