About the Role

In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operational performance, safety, and reliability of our power plant machinery and electrical infrastructure. Key Responsibilities- Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on plant machinery, electrical panels, and auxiliary equipment to ensure maximum operating life.
- Execute electrical repairs, including the substitution of components such as contacts, transformers, and fuses, while strictly adhering to isolation, lock out, and tag out safety regulations.
- Identify and troubleshoot engine components, MV and HV room equipment, and KV Substation infrastructure.
- Utilize precision electrical measurement equipment including digital and analogue multimeters, oscilloscopes, and frequency meters.
- Monitor and record pressure and temperature indicators, and manage lubricating oil and HFO separators independently.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, executing emergency procedures to protect personnel and equipment during system failures.
- Account accurately for all parts, materials, and supplies utilized during maintenance operations.
- Relevant technical certification or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
- Proven professional experience working as an Electrical Technician within power plants, marine environments, or heavy industrial settings.
- Strong working knowledge of MV and HV systems, electrical control panels, and diagnostic measurement tools.
- Demonstrated ability to read complex technical schematics, identify machinery abnormalities, and implement effective corrective actions.
- Strict adherence to international health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards, particularly lockout-tagout (LOTO) protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure in emergency situations.
