About the Role

In this critical leadership role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal maintenance of all electrical equipment, preventing machinery breakdowns, and managing spare parts inventory. Key Responsibilities- Provide advanced electrical engineering expertise for transformers, generators, motors, protective relays, and high-voltage cables.
- Generate and manage work orders for identified electrical issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Inspect electrical systems and components to identify hazards, defects, and compliance with industry safety codes.
- Prioritize and assign electrical maintenance tasks to skilled technicians, directing complex troubleshooting efforts.
- Coordinate procurement actions for critical spares, tools, and replacement equipment.
- Enforce strict personnel safety, occupational health protocols, and rigorous housekeeping standards during all maintenance activities.
- Devise and implement Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules for critical equipment in alignment with OEM recommendations.
- Drive discipline, continuous skill enhancement, and high motivation among subordinate staff.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years of hands-on work experience in a Gas Turbine-based power plant.
- Comprehensive knowledge of electrical maintenance, generators, transformers, AVR, compressors, and auxiliary equipment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and out-of-the-box thinking skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
