About the Role
Ascentech Services Limited is looking for a skilled and proactive Electrical Engineer to join our Sesame Processing business unit. In this vital role, you will ensure the seamless operation of our processing plant by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex electrical, automation, and instrumentation systems. If you have hands-on experience in industrial electrical maintenance and a strong knack for problem-solving, we want you on our team.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, automation, and instrumentation equipment, including industrial motor controls and pump drives.
- Troubleshoot and repair faulty electrical equipment, appliances, machinery, and control systems down to the component level.
- Perform maintenance, installation, repair, and troubleshooting of control centres, high-voltage equipment, and high-voltage motors.
- Maintain engine generators and associated control circuit equipment while ensuring optimal performance.
- Install, maintain, and repair building electrical circuits and related plant infrastructure equipment.
- Maintain and troubleshoot alarm systems, VFDs, soft starters, pneumatic and electronic controls, and programmable control systems.
- Conduct thermographic inspections of electrical distribution panels and motor control systems to prevent downtime.
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 1 to 5 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance, preferably within an industrial, manufacturing, or food processing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical machinery, industrial motor controls, pump drives, generators, VFDs, and soft starters.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults across diverse machinery models.
- Thorough understanding of industrial electrical safety standards, compliance, and best procedures.
- Competitive monthly salary ranging from NGN 160,000 to NGN 200,000.
