About the Role
Ascentech Services Limited is seeking a dedicated and proactive Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of electrical, automation, and instrumentation systems within our processing operations. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on industrial experience and a strong commitment to maintaining optimal operational safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, automation, and instrumentation equipment, including industrial motor controls and pump drives.
- Troubleshoot and repair faulty electrical equipment, appliances, machinery, and control systems down to the component level to extend lifespan and reduce downtime.
- Perform maintenance, installation, repair, and troubleshooting of control centres, high-voltage equipment, and high-voltage motors.
- Maintain engine generators, associated control circuit equipment, and building electrical circuits.
- Maintain and troubleshoot alarm systems, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), soft starters, pneumatic and electronic controls, and programmable control systems.
- Conduct thermographic inspections of electrical distribution panels and motor control systems to preemptively identify potential failures.
- Diploma or equivalent professional qualification in Electrical Engineering.
- 1 to 5 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance, preferably within a fast-paced industrial or manufacturing environment in Nigeria.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical machinery, electronic control systems, and industrial safety standards.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair diverse machinery and control systems efficiently.
- Practical expertise with industrial motor controls, pump drives, generators, VFDs, and soft starters.
