About the Role
Ascentech Services Limited is currently seeking a skilled and proactive Electrical Engineer to support our client's dynamic processing operations in Nigeria. In this vital role, you will ensure the optimal performance, safety, and reliability of all electrical, automation, and instrumentation systems. We are looking for an analytical professional with hands-on industrial experience who can minimize downtime and drive operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, automation, and instrumentation equipment including industrial motor controls and pump drives.
- Troubleshoot and repair faulty electrical machinery, control systems, and appliances down to the component level to maximize equipment lifespan.
- Handle the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical control centres, high-voltage equipment, and high-voltage motors.
- Maintain and service engine generators along with their associated control circuit equipment.
- Manage building electrical circuits, alarm systems, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), soft starters, and programmable control systems.
- Conduct routine thermographic inspections on motor control systems and electrical distribution panels.
- Minimum of a Diploma or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.
- 1 to 5 years of relevant hands-on experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of electronic control systems, electrical machinery, and safety standards.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and maintain diverse machinery models effectively.
- Practical expertise working with VFDs, soft starters, generators, and industrial motor controls.
