About the Role
Olam Nigeria Limited is a leading agri-business operating from seed to shelf, supplying food and industrial raw materials globally while championing sustainable growth. We are currently looking for a dynamic and results-driven Electric and Utilities Manager to join our operations team in Nigeria. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless, safe, and efficient operation of all electrical infrastructure and utility systems to support our large-scale manufacturing and processing plants.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the daily operations and maintenance of electrical power generation, distribution systems, and general utilities including boilers, water treatment plants, and compressed air systems.
- Develop and implement strategic utility management plans to optimize energy consumption, reduce operational costs, and improve overall energy efficiency.
- Ensure strict compliance with national and international health, safety, and environmental standards across all electrical and utility operations.
- Lead root-cause analysis for equipment failures, executing prompt corrective and preventive maintenance (PM) schedules to minimize costly downtime.
- Manage the utilities engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, safety consciousness, and high performance.
- Oversee vendor relationships, spare parts inventory management, and technical project execution within budget constraints.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience in electrical and utility management within a large-scale manufacturing, food processing, or FMCG environment.
- Deep technical expertise in high and low-voltage electrical systems, generators, transformers, and industrial automation.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a proven track record of managing cross-functional technical teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills, excellent project management abilities, and robust knowledge of HSE regulations in Nigeria.
