As an Economics Teacher at Corona Schools, you will play a pivotal role in delivering an engaging, inquiry-based curriculum designed to equip students with critical lifelong skills for the 21st century. You will inspire students to explore economic principles, cultivate critical thinking, and apply problem-solving strategies to real-world scenarios within a supportive and intellectually stimulating environment.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated, and age-appropriate Economics lessons in line with national and international academic standards.
- Prepare comprehensive lesson plans, teaching resources, and interactive learning activities that promote project-based learning.
- Utilize a variety of innovative teaching strategies to meet the diverse learning needs and abilities of all students.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, imagination, and active participation.
- Promote critical thinking, collaboration, financial literacy, and independent problem-solving among students.
- Integrate appropriate educational technology and instructional resources to enhance the teaching and learning experience.
- Ensure effective classroom management and maintain high standards of student behavior and academic integrity.
- Assess student progress regularly, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate academic records.
- Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Education, or a related field (Master's degree or professional teaching certification is an added advantage).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience teaching Economics in a reputable secondary school or educational institution.
- Deep understanding of both the Nigerian curriculum and major international curricula.
- Strong proficiency in 21st-century teaching methodologies, including enquiry-based and project-based learning.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate technology into classroom instruction effectively.
