About the Role

First Light Montessori School is an esteemed early childhood learning center located on the Mainland in Lagos, Nigeria. We are dedicated to providing specialized care and individualized education using traditional hands-on Montessori learning materials. We are currently seeking a passionate, dedicated, and creative Early Years Educator to join our vibrant team and help shape the foundation of lifelong learning for our young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate play-based and structured learning activities aligned with developmental milestones.
  • Observe, assess, and document each child's growth, learning milestones, and individual needs on a regular basis.
  • Create a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to both structured learning and independent play.
  • Encourage positive social interactions, independence, and basic self-care routines among the children.
  • Build strong, professional relationships with parents and guardians through consistent and transparent communication and updates.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and child protection guidelines within the school premises at all times.

Qualifications
  • Minimum qualification of an N.C.E, OND, Diploma, or B.Ed. in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field.
  • Montessori certification or a recognized early childhood teaching credential will be considered a significant added advantage.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on professional experience working as an Early Years Educator or Assistant Teacher.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, profound patience, creativity, basic computer literacy, and strong classroom management abilities.
