About the Role

D' Nimble Minds Montessori School is seeking an enthusiastic and tech-savvy Coding and Robotics Teacher to join our vibrant academic community in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the digital literacy and critical thinking skills of our young learners by introducing them to the exciting worlds of programming, engineering, and robotics in a fun, safe, and engaging environment. We are looking for a dedicated educator who can translate complex technological concepts into age-appropriate, hands-on learning experiences that spark curiosity and foster a lifelong passion for innovation among our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver interactive, age-appropriate coding and robotics lessons for students following the school curriculum.
  • Introduce foundational programming languages, block coding, and basic robotics kits through play-based and experiential learning methods.
  • Manage the school's technology and robotics laboratory, ensuring all hardware, software, and learning kits are properly maintained and secure.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and communicate regularly with parents regarding their children's technological development.
  • Supervise students during practical lab sessions and encourage collaborative teamwork on tech and engineering projects.
  • Prepare students for internal and external tech competitions, science fairs, and exhibitions.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators to integrate technology across various Montessori learning areas.

Qualifications
  • Possession of a Bachelor's degree, HND, or relevant professional certification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Education, or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching coding, robotics, or STEM subjects to children in a school or structured learning environment.
  • Familiarity with kid-friendly programming languages (such as Scratch, Python) and basic robotics hardware (such as LEGO Mindstorms, Arduino).
  • Strong passion for early childhood and primary education with a solid understanding of child development principles.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to create a safe, inclusive, and joyful learning atmosphere for all students.
