About the Role
Masterpiece Schools (His Masterpiece Schools), a renowned private Christian educational institution located in Lagos, Nigeria, is seeking a professional, safety-conscious, and dedicated Driver to join our dynamic operations team. Founded in 2011, we provide exceptional nursery, primary, and college-level education grounded in academic excellence and sound Christian values. In this role, you will play a vital part in our school community by ensuring that students and staff are transported securely and punctually to and from school, as well as during official school excursions and events.
Key Responsibilities- Safely transport students and staff to and from school premises along designated routes.
- Observe all traffic laws, road signs, and school safety policies at all times.
- Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, checking oil, water, brakes, and tire pressure.
- Ensure the school vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and regularly serviced.
- Maintain accurate logs of daily trips, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance schedules.
- Handle vehicle documents, licenses, and insurance renewals in a timely manner.
- Assist students safely in and out of the vehicle, particularly younger children.
- Perform minor running repairs and report major mechanical faults promptly to school management.
- Minimum of SSCE or equivalent educational qualification.
- Valid and current professional driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proven professional driving experience, preferably within a school or corporate setting in Lagos.
- Deep familiarity with Lagos routes, traffic regulations, and shortcuts.
- Excellent defensive driving skills and high safety awareness.
- Good interpersonal skills, patience, and a friendly disposition when interacting with children and parents.
