About the Role
George Houston Resources Limited (GHR) is a premier HR consulting firm dedicated to driving organizational success through strategic solutions. We are currently recruiting a professional and safety-minded Driver to join our dynamic logistics team and support our daily operational transport needs.
Key Responsibilities- Transport batteries and operational materials safely between assigned depot and outlet locations.
- Carry out comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Report vehicle faults, servicing needs, and maintenance requirements promptly.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date trip logs and vehicle movement records.
- Ensure all dispatched materials are properly documented and accounted for.
- Verify items loaded and delivered against official dispatch records. Keep the assigned vehicle clean, secure, and fully roadworthy at all times.
- Comply strictly with Nigerian traffic regulations and internal company safety procedures.
- Report any accidents, delays, incidents, or route irregularities immediately.
- Assist with physical loading and unloading of goods when required.
- Perform any additional logistics duties assigned by the Depot Manager or Management.
- Minimum of an SSCE or OND qualification.
- Valid Nigerian driver's licence with proven experience driving trucks and commercial vehicles.
- Demonstrated professional driving experience with a clean safety record.
- Good knowledge of Nigerian road networks and safety regulations.
- Ability to read, write, and complete accurate trip documentation.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physically fit and capable of assisting with the loading and unloading of inventory.
