About the Role
The Providence Hotel, a premier hospitality destination located in the vibrant Government Reserved Area of Ikeja, Lagos, is seeking a dedicated and professional Driver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing safe, efficient, and courteous transportation for our esteemed guests and staff, while upholding the highest standards of Nigerian traffic laws and hotel policies. Beyond driving duties, you will play an integral part in our front office and concierge operations, assisting with luggage, greeting arrivals, and delivering exceptional customer service to ensure every guest enjoys a seamless and memorable stay with us.
Key Responsibilities- Safely transport guests and staff to and from designated locations using hotel vehicles, ensuring punctuality and comfort at all times.
- Strictly obey all traffic regulations and road laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria while prioritizing passenger safety.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, checking indicators, headlights, tires, brakes, and petrol levels, and immediately report any mechanical defects to management.
- Maintain the assigned vehicle in a pristine, clean condition at all times and accurately complete the Driver's Log Sheet after every trip.
- Assist guests warmly upon arrival and departure, handling luggage and personal effects with utmost care and courtesy.
- Support front office and concierge operations by delivering messages, mail, packages, and room service orders when required.
- Ensure all vehicle documents, licenses, and insurance papers are valid and up to date within the vehicle at all times.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional driving experience, preferably within the hospitality or corporate sector.
- Possession of a valid Nigerian driver's license with a clean driving record and deep familiarity with Lagos roads and traffic laws.
- High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification is an added advantage.
- Fluent in spoken and written English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Impeccable personal grooming, maintaining a neat appearance and wearing the provided uniform with pride and professionalism.
