About the Role
Leprosy and Tuberculosis Relief Initiative Nigeria (LTR), formerly Netherlands Leprosy Relief (NLR) Nigeria, is an indigenous non-profit NGO dedicated to leprosy and tuberculosis control. We are currently seeking a skilled, dedicated, and professional Driver for our Gombe State office under the GC7 grant. Job Reference Number: LTR (FAU)/_2026/SD/001-GOMBE STATE.
Key Responsibilities- Perform daily routine checks, maintenance, and servicing of assigned project vehicles, reporting any damage or required replacements immediately.
- Convey staff, personnel, and VIPs safely to assigned destinations while strictly obeying all road signs and traffic laws.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs for fuel tracking, vehicle service, mileage, and repairs.
- Ensure vehicles are properly fueled (minimum half a tank), clean, and parked only in designated, permitted areas.
- Provide basic administrative support and interact professionally with staff, clients, and guests at all times.
- Perform minor vehicle repairs when necessary and execute any other tasks assigned by the Head Driver or Administrative Officer.
- Relevant Diploma, SSCE, or equivalent educational background combined with proven professional driving experience.
- Must possess a valid Standard Driver’s License and certified defensive driving skills.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional driving experience, preferably within the NGO sector.
- Proficiency in basic computer use and vehicle tracking software, coupled with good communication and negotiation skills.
- Strict adherence to safeguarding standards: LTR has a zero-tolerance policy towards Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Harassment (SEAH). Background checks will be conducted.
