About the Role
Pinnacle Schools, Uyo is a premier co-educational private institution located in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, dedicated to delivering world-class educational standards in a serene and secure environment. We are currently seeking a dependable, safety-conscious, and professional Driver to join our dedicated support team. In this role, you will play a vital part in our daily operations by providing safe and efficient transportation services for our students and staff, ensuring punctuality and adherence to traffic regulations at all times.
Key Responsibilities- Transport students and staff safely to and from school, as well as to authorized school events, field trips, and extracurricular activities.
- Observe all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and school transport policies rigorously.
- Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, checking oil, water, brakes, tire pressure, and fuel levels.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the school vehicle interior and exterior on a regular basis.
- Report any mechanical faults, servicing needs, or potential safety hazards immediately to school management.
- Maintain accurate logs of all trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance schedules.
- Demonstrate exemplary behavior, patience, and professionalism when interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Minimum of a Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or equivalent educational qualification.
- Possession of a valid, current Nigerian driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Proven professional driving experience, preferably within an educational institution or corporate organization in Uyo or Akwa Ibom State.
- Excellent knowledge of local routes, traffic laws, and navigation within Akwa Ibom State.
- Strong interpersonal skills, trustworthiness, and a high level of personal integrity.
- Other relevant defensive driving certifications or mechanical troubleshooting skills will be an added advantage.
