About the Role
Sambus Geospatial Nigeria Limited, the premier geospatial intelligence company and sole distributor of Esri software in West Africa, is seeking a skilled and reliable Driver to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting staff, managing vehicle maintenance, handling dispatches, and ensuring the highest standards of road safety and operational efficiency across our Nigerian operations.
Key Responsibilities- Drive company vehicles professionally and safely to assigned destinations for official duties.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance, including checking oil, water, battery levels, and tire rotation.
- Ensure pool cars and assigned vehicles are kept in optimal mechanical and aesthetic condition at all times.
- Promptly report any vehicle abnormalities, damages, losses, or thefts to the HC/Admin & Operations Manager within 24 hours.
- Handle the pickup and delivery of official dispatches, letters, and confidential documents to banks and partner institutions.
- Maintain and update accurate vehicle logs, including trip records, fuel consumption, and accident forms.
- Liaise with relevant authorities and insurance brokers for vehicle registration, roadworthiness certificates, and renewals.
- Assist the administrative department in coordinating executive movements and vehicle procurement processes.
- Minimum of an SHS/SSCE certificate.
- At least 5 years of professional driving experience, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Possession of a valid and current Nigerian driver's license.
- Strong command of defensive driving techniques and comprehensive knowledge of Nigerian road safety signs and laws.
- Proficiency in English language communication.
- Working knowledge of GPS navigation systems, mapping tools, and major Nigerian routes.
