About the Role

Shoreline Natural Resources Limited, a prominent joint venture in the Nigerian energy sector, is seeking a skilled Drilling Engineer to join our dynamic technical team. In this pivotal role, you will support the planning and safe execution of drilling, completion, workover, and well intervention activities across OML 30. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and external partners to deliver cost-effective and compliant well operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive drilling and well programmes aligned with corporate standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare detailed well designs, including casing programmes, drill-string design, bottom-hole assembly selection, and hydraulics calculations.
  • Conduct offset-well analyses and collaborate with reservoir engineers on pore-pressure and fracture-gradient evaluations.
  • Supervise rig-based activities, monitor well-control operations, and interpret real-time drilling data.
  • Oversee casing, cementing, and completion activities while managing operational risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Interface with subsurface, production operations, and supply chain teams to drive project success.
  • Review daily drilling reports, support End-of-Well Reports, and facilitate After-Action Reviews to capture lessons learned.
  • Contribute to cost management, performance optimisation, and well-integrity implementation plans.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Engineering degree with a minimum of Second-Class Lower Honours; a Master of Engineering degree is an advantage.
  • Current IWCF or IADC certification alongside relevant industry training certificates.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant oil and gas industry experience with a strong focus on drilling optimisation and well engineering.
  • Demonstrated expertise in well planning, programme design, and real-time drilling data interpretation.
  • Thorough understanding of HSSE standards, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
