We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Drilling Engineer to join our expanding team. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with top-tier energy clients, delivering technical excellence, optimizing operational efficiency, and driving bottom-line value through innovative drilling engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Develop detailed technical well designs, hydraulics calculations, casing setting depths, and operational step-by-step procedures.
- Author comprehensive drilling programs, perform advanced torque, drag, and hydraulics simulations, and rigorously evaluate offset well data.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and cost-effectiveness across all drilling operations.
- Monitor active drilling operations and provide real-time engineering support to resolve complex technical challenges.
- Analyze post-well performance data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational optimization.
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in drilling engineering within the oil and gas sector.
- Proven proficiency with industry-standard drilling design and simulation software, such as Landmark and Compass.
- Strong working knowledge of Nigerian oil and gas industry regulations, HSE standards, and best practices.
