About the Role
The Dangote Group, Africa's leading diversified business conglomerate, is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Dozer Operator to join our dynamic operations at DCML, Ankpa, Kogi State. In this vital role, you will be responsible for driving heavy machinery to support our extensive earthmoving, grading, and site preparation activities, contributing directly to our mission of building sustainable local infrastructure across Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Operate bulldozers safely and efficiently for pushing, grading, levelling, clearing, and spreading materials across varying terrain.
- Carry out comprehensive earthmoving and site preparation activities in alignment with daily operational requirements.
- Perform routine pre-start and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure optimal mechanical condition.
- Monitor machinery performance closely and promptly report any faults, defects, or maintenance needs to the mechanical team.
- Maintain high situational awareness of personnel, vehicles, slopes, and potential operational hazards on site.
- Comply strictly with all company Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations and safe operating procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with supervisors and fellow equipment operators to achieve daily production targets.
- Minimum of a Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent educational qualification.
- Trade Test Certificate (I, II, or III) in a relevant technical or vocational discipline is a strong advantage.
- Possession of a valid Class H Driver's License is mandatory for this position.
- Between 3 to 8 years of proven experience operating bulldozers within mining, quarrying, construction, cement, or heavy industrial sectors.
- Demonstrated knowledge of advanced bulldozer controls, earthmoving techniques, and basic mechanical troubleshooting.
