About the Role
Lonadek is a premier consulting firm dedicated to driving local content development, engineering support, and human capital transformation across the Gulf of Guinea and globally. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Document Controller to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing critical technical and project documentation, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of quality, compliance, and efficiency across our engineering and energy projects.
Key Responsibilities- Manage technical and project documentation throughout the entire document lifecycle, from creation to archiving.
- Maintain accurate Document Registers, Master Document Lists (MDLs), transmittal logs, and comprehensive document status reports.
- Implement and oversee document control processes, procedures, workflows, document numbering, and revision controls.
- Coordinate document submissions, reviews, comments, and approvals seamlessly across multiple internal and external project stakeholders.
- Handle engineering, procurement, construction, and operational documentation in compliance with industry standards.
- Utilize Document Management Systems (DMS), EDMS, and collaboration platforms such as SharePoint, Aconex, or Documentum effectively.
- Ensure secure archiving, fast retrieval, and proper distribution of critical documents to authorized personnel.
- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Business Administration, Information Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Bring 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in Document Control, specifically within the Oil and Gas, Engineering, Construction, or Energy sector.
- Demonstrate proven experience in managing technical and project documentation within complex engineering environments.
- Show strong proficiency in using modern Document Management Systems (DMS), EDMS, and platforms like SharePoint or Aconex.
- Possess a solid understanding of document review, approval, distribution, and auditing processes.
- Prior experience supporting International Oil Companies (IOCs), Local Oil Companies (LOCs), or major EPC contractors is highly advantageous.
