About the Role
Shalina Healthcare is a market leader dedicated to making quality healthcare products affordable and available across Africa. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Dispensing Officer to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a critical part in our production process by ensuring the accurate dispensing of raw and packaging materials in strict compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Dispense raw and packaging materials in accordance with approved Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) and requisitions.
- Verify material identity, batch numbers, status labels, and expiry dates prior to the dispensing process.
- Ensure precise weighing and measuring of materials utilizing calibrated equipment.
- Maintain optimal cleanliness and adhere to required environmental conditions within the dispensing area.
- Record all dispensing activities accurately within logbooks and enterprise resource planning systems.
- Ensure strict adherence to FIFO and FEFO inventory principles during material issuance.
- Coordinate closely with Quality Assurance for line clearance and necessary approvals.
- Label dispensed materials correctly and facilitate their safe transfer to the production floor.
- Report any discrepancies, deviations, or damaged materials immediately to the supervisor.
- Participate actively in routine stock counts, audits, and comprehensive inventory reconciliations.
- Minimum of an ND, HND, or B.Sc Degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or related scientific fields.
- Between 5 to 10 years of professional experience working in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, preferably within a warehouse or dispensing unit.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safe material handling, and inventory control procedures.
