About the Role
Lagos Executive Cardiovascular Centre (LECC) is a premier multidisciplinary cardiovascular and cardiac rehabilitation facility located in Lekki, Lagos. We specialize in advanced invasive and non-invasive treatments for heart and vascular diseases. We are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Consultant Cardiologist to join our dynamic team and drive the continuous development of our specialist cardiovascular services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive specialist assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of patients with cardiovascular conditions.
- Conduct specialist consultations and develop evidence-based, individualized treatment plans.
- Perform and interpret appropriate cardiovascular investigations, including ECG, echocardiography, Holter monitoring, and stress testing.
- Manage acute and complex cardiovascular cases and provide appropriate clinical interventions or referrals.
- Collaborate closely with cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Participate in clinical reviews, case conferences, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Provide clinical leadership, mentorship, and training to junior doctors and clinical team members.
- Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and high standards of clinical practice.
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Fellowship or Membership of a recognized postgraduate medical college in Cardiology or equivalent specialist qualification.
- Minimum of 10 years of post-specialization experience in Cardiology.
- Demonstrable experience managing a broad range of cardiovascular conditions, including complex cases.
- Strong clinical judgment and evidence-based approach to patient care.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and team-working skills.
- Current registration and valid license to practice in Nigeria.
