About the Role
Najec FMCG Limited is a trusted, time-tested leader in the distribution and supply of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) across Nigeria. We are currently seeking a dynamic and organized Dispatch & Fleet Coordinator to join our growing operations team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the central hub where warehouse loading, driver scheduling, and delivery routes converge. You will own the daily logistics roster from end to end, sequencing warehouse loading, balancing fleet workloads, and minimizing delays to ensure our trucks move efficiently on schedule.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and finalize the next-day delivery roster against confirmed orders while strategically assigning vehicles to optimal routes.
- Stagger warehouse load times effectively to prevent bay congestion and eliminate morning dock queues.
- Manage the daily loading sequence, ensuring returned empties and crates are accurately offloaded and reconciled prior to any reload.
- Track active vehicles against the daily plan in real-time, proactively flagging and resolving delays, vehicle breakdowns, and route overruns.
- Execute end-of-day reconciliations covering completed trips, dock dwell times, and returned empty inventories.
- Monitor, analyze, and report core operational KPIs including on-time dispatch rates, deliveries per truck, dock dwell times, and overall fleet utilization.
- Provide clear direction to drivers and loading staff to maintain strict discipline and adherence to the dispatch schedule.
- Hold an OND, HND, or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Demonstrated prior experience working in FMCG distribution, haulage, or busy depot and loading operations.
- Highly numerate and organized with the ability to think critically in sequences, operational constraints, and shifting priorities.
- Calm under pressure and assertive, with the confidence to direct drivers and loaders effectively at short notice.
- Proficient in using spreadsheets and modern scheduling tools for logistical tracking.
- Strong working knowledge of Abuja and FCT routes is a distinct advantage.
