About the Role

LEAP Africa, a premier leadership development non-profit, is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Director of Programmes & Partnerships to lead our entire programmatic portfolio. In this executive role, you will translate our mission into fundable, measurable strategies, driving our core pillars of People, Impact, Influence, and Income while managing high-value donor relationships and a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Executive Director to design and implement LEAP Africa's overarching programme strategy and annual departmental goals.
  • Own the end-to-end fundraising strategy, cultivating high-value partnerships across the private, public, and social sectors.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of flagship programmes, digital e-learning initiatives, and special projects ensuring robust MERL integration.
  • Manage departmental budgets, monitor financial variances, and ensure strict compliance with institutional grants.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a geographically distributed team while embedding the ARIISE organizational culture.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in International Development, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 13-15 years of progressive leadership experience in the non-profit or development sector, with at least 8 years in a senior role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in fundraising, grant management, and strategic partnership development.
  • Proven track record in managing Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (MERL) functions.
  • Deep alignment with LEAP Africa's core values (ARIISE) and passion for African youth development.
