About the Role
Jhpiego is seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Global Security to spearhead our comprehensive safety, risk mitigation, and crisis management initiatives. In this pivotal executive role, you will act as the primary subject matter expert, safeguarding our personnel, assets, and operations across global offices, particularly within complex international environments.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and oversee global security policies, procedures, and best practices to mitigate enterprise-wide risks.
- Lead global crisis and incident response, ensuring robust business continuity and disaster recovery plans are in place.
- Oversee physical security, travel security planning, executive protection, and compliance with Duty of Care standards including Healix integration.
- Design and deliver safety training programs while mentoring Security Focal Points across country programs.
- Manage vendor relationships, safety budgets, and conduct thorough risk investigations.
- Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or a related field with 15 years of security management experience (Master's degree preferred).
- Extensive on-the-ground security management experience in Africa, Asia, or the Middle East, including conflict-affected areas.
- Demonstrated leadership working at a senior level within US Government-funded projects and INGO contexts.
- Established network of global safety and security services with strong crisis management capabilities.
- Ability to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.
