About the Role
Genero Engineering Limited (GEL) is a leading wholly indigenous Nigerian Marine Engineering and Engineering Consulting firm established in 2008. We are dedicated to delivering high-quality, flexible marine, engineering, and turnkey project management services across the region. We are currently seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Able Seaman (AB) to join our dynamic offshore team and contribute to the successful execution of our maritime projects.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine deck maintenance, chipping, painting, and rust removal to upkeep the vessel's exterior and equipment.
- Stand navigational watches as a lookout or helmsman under the direction of the Master or Officer on Watch.
- Assist safely with mooring, anchoring, and cargo handling operations.
- Participate actively in launch and recovery operations for diving support equipment on DSV vessels.
- Comply strictly with all company safety policies, international maritime regulations, and environmental standards.
- Work collaboratively with deck crew and engineering teams to ensure smooth daily vessel operations.
- Proven, hands-on professional experience working on Diving Support Vessels (DSV) is strictly mandatory.
- Valid and up-to-date seafarer documentation, including STCW certifications and medical fitness certificates.
- Demonstrated strong safety awareness and resilience to work effectively in challenging offshore environments.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
