About the Role
Mastercard is looking for a dynamic and visionary Director of Business Development to lead our fintech portfolio across West Africa. In this high-impact executive role, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, shaping strategic partnerships, and expanding our market presence by collaborating with leading fintech founders, CEOs, and key ecosystem stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Own the fintech portfolio P&L across assigned West Africa markets, driving revenue growth, commercial performance, and profitability.
- Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with fintech founders, C-suite executives, and regional investors to shape joint growth agendas.
- Lead the development and execution of market-level fintech strategies aligned with regional business objectives.
- Build and execute strategic account plans for key partners, driving executive alignment and measurable long-term business outcomes.
- Champion cross-functional collaboration across Products, Services, Marketing, Finance, and Legal teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Ensure strict adherence to Mastercard information security policies, asset protection, and compliance guidelines.
- Proven track record of managing a business portfolio with direct accountability for revenue growth and strategic objectives.
- Strong executive presence with a demonstrated ability to influence C-suite stakeholders and senior decision-makers.
- Extensive experience in developing partnership strategies, strategic account plans, and executing complex negotiations.
- Strong financial acumen, including P&L management, forecasting, business case development, and ROI analysis.
