About the Role
The Dangote Group is one of Africa's largest and most diversified business conglomerates, with operations spanning cement, sugar, salt, flour, logistics, and real estate. We are currently looking for a dynamic and analytical Digital Monitoring & Intelligence Officer to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, you will monitor our digital environment, convert online conversations and audience sentiment into timely reputation intelligence, and safeguard our brand against emerging risks and misinformation.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor online news, social media, blogs, forums, and search results for mentions of the Group, leadership, and priority issues.
- Assess the tone, reach, and potential significance of digital conversations to distinguish routine commentary from material reputation risks.
- Produce concise daily, weekly, and issue-specific intelligence reports highlighting key narratives, risks, and recommended actions.
- Detect early warning signals, unusual traffic spikes, misinformation, fake profiles, and cyber-squatting activities.
- Escalate high-risk findings promptly to relevant stakeholders and maintain detailed escalation logs.
- Provide live monitoring and situation updates during crises, major announcements, and high-interest events.
- Track competitor and industry digital activity to benchmark practices and identify emerging reputational themes.
- Maintain monitoring queries, dashboards, and reporting templates to ensure consistent measurement standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, Data Analytics, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in social listening, media monitoring, digital research, or communications analytics.
- Hands-on experience with advanced social listening, search, and analytics tools.
- Strong proficiency in sentiment analysis, trend tracking, and risk assessment.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to prepare executive-level summaries and reports.
