About the Role
The Abia State Government is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Digital Marketing Specialist to strengthen the Office's digital visibility, public image, and stakeholder engagement. In this role, you will translate Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects, investment opportunities, and government initiatives into accurate, timely, and protocol-sensitive digital communications.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a disciplined digital communication strategy aligned with investment-promotion and PPP delivery priorities.
- Manage approved content calendars across the official website and relevant social media channels with strict adherence to protocol.
- Produce engaging website copy, social media posts, basic graphics, digital flyers, and short-form videos using modern digital tools.
- Monitor online conversations, address misinformation, mitigate reputation risks, and escalate sensitive issues promptly.
- Track website and social media performance metrics, SEO indicators, and campaign results to prepare concise analytics reports.
- Provide real-time digital coverage of official meetings, investor engagements, and field activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrable professional experience in digital marketing, social media management, or corporate communications.
- Must provide a portfolio or verifiable work samples showcasing content creation, campaign execution, and analytics proficiency.
- Prior experience in government, investment promotion, PPPs, or corporate stakeholder environments is a distinct advantage.
- Exceptional copywriting, editing, research, and fact-checking skills with sound judgment regarding public-sector protocol.
