Key Responsibilities- Teach proper diction, phonetics, articulation, and speech delivery to students across various grade levels, from early childhood to senior secondary.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans focused on improving spoken English, vocabulary building, and accent neutralization.
- Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and individualized support to overcome speech difficulties.
- Prepare students for school debates, elocution competitions, drama productions, and public speaking events.
- Collaborate with other language arts teachers to integrate effective communication techniques into the broader curriculum.
- Maintain a positive, encouraging, and interactive learning environment that fosters student participation and self-confidence.
- Minimum of an NCE, HND, or B.Ed in English Language, Linguistics, Education, or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching diction, phonics, and public speaking in a reputable school environment.
- Exceptional command of spoken English with a neutral and clear accent.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of diverse age groups.
- Tech-savvy with familiarity in utilizing modern digital tools to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
- Possession of relevant certifications in diction or speech training will be an added advantage.
