About the Role

We are building an AI-Native Engineering team and looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to join our Product Development Outsourcing business. In this role, you will help shape the financial services industry of tomorrow by partnering with an innovative fintech company transforming the retail space in Africa, optimizing delivery speed, and enhancing the overall developer experience.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with developers and architects to evaluate existing problems and implement effective process improvement solutions.
- Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in the software development and deployment lifecycle.
- Participate in delivery planning, ensuring code quality and optimizing operational efficiency.
- Establish coding standards and automate organizational processes for seamless execution.
- Manage daily tasks including environment provisioning, metric monitoring, and incident reporting.
- Maintain expertise in platform configuration management and system troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with technical teams to understand development roadblocks and deliver holistic solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 3 to 4 years of coding and scripting experience implementing large-scale cloud architectures using modern container platforms.
- Proficiency in Linux OS, SQL, PL/SQL, scripting, and containerization technologies.
- Familiarity with automated infrastructure provisioning tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
- Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working within multifunctional teams.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with a passion for emerging technologies.
- Must have completed the compulsory 1-year NYSC or possess an exemption certificate.
- Valid and up-to-date National Identity Card/NIMC slip required upon commencement.
