About the Role
Collection Developments is a dynamic real estate investment and management firm dedicated to creating exceptional properties that deliver lasting commercial and social value. We are currently seeking a skilled and proactive Design and Architectural Manager to join our curious team of real estate experts in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping modern residential, workplace, and cultural spaces by driving architectural excellence from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities- Own and manage the complete design programme from initial concept stage through to technical design issue for all project packages.
- Coordinate all external design consultants, including architects, structural engineers, landscape architects, and specialist advisors, chairing weekly design meetings.
- Manage the design package release schedule to ensure timely issuance for construction in coordination with the Construction Manager.
- Enforce design freezes following concept approval and rigorously manage any post-freeze modifications through formal change order processes.
- Review and rigorously comment on all design packages prior to construction issuance to identify and resolve coordination errors proactively.
- Maintain the master drawing register across all disciplines and blocks, ensuring accurate updates with every revision and issue.
- Oversee the review and approval process for shop drawings and product samples while interfacing closely with site engineers on buildability and queries.
- Bachelor degree in Architecture or a related built environment discipline, with registration with the Nigerian Institute of Architects strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience, featuring at least 4 years in a dedicated design management or senior architectural coordination role.
- Strong technical understanding spanning architectural, structural, and MEP design processes and drawing standards.
- Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD, with advanced working knowledge of Revit or other equivalent BIM software.
- Proven experience managing consultant teams on fast-track or Design and Build construction projects within the Nigerian market.
- Familiarity with modern document management and project control platforms such as Procore or Aconex.
