About the Role
Solidarités International is looking for a dedicated and experienced Deputy Country Director for Programs to drive our humanitarian mission in Nigeria. For over 35 years, we have provided vital aid in conflict and natural disaster zones, focusing on water, sanitation, hygiene, food security, and shelter to help vulnerable populations regain self-sufficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and strategic management for program development, quality assurance, and accountability across all interventions.
- Oversee technical coordinators and advisors to ensure evidence-based, conflict-sensitive, and needs-driven programming.
- Mitigate operational constraints in insecure areas by collaborating closely with field coordinators and support services.
- Lead the roll-out of institutional workstreams, localization strategies, and cross-cutting frameworks.
- Support the implementation of the 2027-2029 programmatic strategy, project monitoring, and capacity-building plans.
- Master's degree in Humanitarian Affairs, International Relations, Project Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the humanitarian sector, with at least 3 to 4 years in a similar senior leadership position.
- Extensive expertise in project cycle management, remote monitoring, and delivering aid in insecure environments.
- Strong knowledge of WASH, Food Security, Livelihoods, and CASH modalities.
- Fluent in English, with Hausa and French considered strong assets.
